The gypsies ran off without me. I crave junk shops, dying shore towns and odd roadside attractions, love a strong dose of Déjà vous and am fascinated with all affairs God-awful and small.
I'm a writer and artist and the author of From Beyond the Pale: The Lost Child's Guide to Wayward Lands who lives in New Orleans with a puppy Zooey and cat Lily. We are guarded by the spirit of one long-haired Chihuahua named Guadalupe, whose devotion remains unrivaled.
I am currently building a time machine, as it is my sincere wish to return to May 06, 2011 8:26 pm in order to grab the leash before Lupe could chase the orange cat into the path of a car that could've stopped but didn't.

Travels with Lupe - Farewell to My Little Dog
Known as Lupe, Guadalupe was a Long-haired Chihuahua born on December 31, 2005 who accompanied Tara Jill everywhere. The blog withmylittledog.wordpress.com documents their adventures traveling across America.Lupe died on May 06, 2011 at 8:33 pm. She was hit by a car while chasing a cat. She died almost instantly in Tara Jill’s arms. Every moment of her life was great.
She died the way she loved, fiercely; the only things she ever feared were taxidermy and robots.
This video is the last of the Travels with Lupe series and was filmed in Metairie Cemetery near the Heaven’s Pets Cremation and Bereavement Center.
